I am Linda Blaesing, a centipede. My passions are varied and I like to keep developing myself both professionally and personally. The most important values of freedom, connection and peace are reflected in my free time as well as in my work as a psychologist. Traveling for me is the ultimate feeling of freedom. I grow by stepping out of my comfort zone. My motto is not to let fear hold me back, but to do things that frighten me and see them as a challenge – with balance and compassion. That is why I find the freedom to keep developing myself very important in my work. The connection I experience Salsa dancing with my dance partner and the music I also experience working with my clients and colleagues. Every person has a unique story and I feel honoured to be the person with whom clients share this story and help them to help themselves. I love to inspire and support each other in a team and being creative about new approaches, projects and solutions. I’m always open for collaborations. Only when I’m in balance can I help others to find their own balance. Taking care of my own boundaries and needs, therefore, is an important foundation of my work.
I am German and graduated with a bachelor of psychology and a master of clinical and social psychology at Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands) in summer 2020. During my master in clinical psychology I worked with refugees and migrants at i-psy in Nijmegen. Throughout my studies I gained experience working with university students, substance abuse disorders, and general psychiatric disorders in Dutch adults at Psy Q in Nijmegen. Since April 2021 I’m working as a psychologist in a small alternative group practice in Wageningen (The Netherlands). My clients are mostly university students and (young) adults, who struggle with existential questions, procrastination, anxiety, and depression.
Besides my job, I started my own psychological online practice in June 2020 to combine my passions of writing, psychology and travelling. Milennials, students and young people struggling with the hazards of finding their path and their place in life are a group I can very much relate to and I have experience working with this group. Even after my two masters for me learning, reflecting and educating myself and my therapeutical skills is very important. Therefore, I read a lot and do additional courses to improve my therapeutical skills.
In my work with clients I combine cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy with mindfulness-based approaches and personal development. More holistically, I might also use insights I gained from books, podcasts, or my therapist community. For me our sessions are teamwork. You are expert in your inner world, feelings, thoughts and I’m expert in (behavioural and cognitive) change processes. Together we are suited for dealing with whatever challenges you’re encountering right now. I offer individual sessions, as well as group sessions and workshops
